This is a great alternative to Synovi G soft chewables, plus it's almost triple the strength. I have an arthritic dog with hip displasia and have been feeding him the Synovi G for years. However, when I shopped for my refills, I noticed that the price was double that for 1/2 the quantity I used to order. NOt sure why that product has increased exponentially to say the least. So, I sought after alternatives and found Joint Max. It works beautifully and my dog hasn't experienced any effects to date.

I purchased the Triple Strength Joint Max chewes when the Synovi's disappeared. Our dog doesn't seem to like them as much but she still eats them. Both brands have done great. Could see a difference in how she got around within the first month.

I have been giving our 12 year old retriever these for about 2 weeks. He is also on a pain killer. Doing sooooo much better. I don't know which med is working the best, and I don't care. I am just so much happier for him now that he can walk and run with ease. Our dog does not take ANY pills/medicine at all without forcing. So I am thrilled he thinks these are a treat. Life is so much easier than smashing pills and mixing it all in cereal. I will buy more, especially at the cost on Amazon.
